"We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing."

— George Bernard Shaw

My experience

Hi! My name is Tiziano Trazzi, I'm 32 years old and I live in Rome.

I'm a passionate Game and Level Designer with 8+ years of experience in the videogame industry.

I supported several teams in delivering 4 Indies and 1 AA Games by creating both game and levels' documentation and by covering the entire process of many levels' creation, from pre-production to polish.

I use mostly Unreal Engine 5 but I had times with Unity and RPG Maker also.

I consider myself a very versatile person thanks to my curiosity, interests and willing to grow.

Having a good range of soft and hard skills plus a holistic perspective of the process is what helps me the most in delivering the best possible experience to players!

About me

My dad bought (for him) a Playstation 1 in 1997, I was 4 years old and I started my gamer's journey with Crash Bandicoot 1.

It was the beginning of something special, and I didn't know it could have brought me to this point where I had the possibility to make this passion a job.

Since I was a child I always had the passion and creativity to use paper, glue, colors, little wooden bricks and whatever I had to build on the floor of my house structures, marble paths, games on paper, adventures...

I am a curious person who loves to learn something new almost every day.

I'm a kind of perfectionist and very organizated person, and when I'm creating something I like to insist even if I don't have the right skills. This attitude leads me in a constant study's journey where I learn tons of basic skills, both soft and hard, to use in my job and in everyday life.

In my free time I like playing almost every kind of videogame; I'm a great watcher of all kind of Movies, Documentaries, TV Shows and Anime; I like staying very fit so I have a very healthy lifestyle and I approach a lot of sports depending on the season but during the year I majorly play volleyball, do gym and calisthenics; I like science, technology, actuality and psychology; I read book sometimes, often for study reason, and I like also studying guitar and sing.

What is Level Design

Level Design is the art of creating spaces and experiences governed by rules. Just like a volleyball court, a cinema hall, or a city block — every space shapes how people move, feel, and interact. The Level Designer is a 360° bridge between all disciplines: they must understand art, engineering, narrative, and game design simultaneously. The process goes from concept → blockout → art integration → polish, with iterative playtesting at every stage.

Why Level Design

We create experiences that give meaning and value to everyone else's work. The goal is total engagement: every action was thought of beforehand, every square metre, every object, every light is positioned to guide the player and shift their mood. No other medium combines storytelling, architecture, psychology, and interactivity in the same way. It is, in the truest sense, a hard work of art.
